Google Data Studio

Google Data Studio

Comprehensive Google Analytics Reporting pages for presentation of data.
Individual reports can be shared with clients/users. Reports can come from mutltiple Data Sources. We can also schedule email delivery of reports.
Reports can be downloaded as PDFs.

So how doe we create a report in Data Studio.
You can copy an exisitng Report and select a Data Source for the report or we can create our own and select what Data source we want to report.
Once we do this we load in to the Layout and Theme for the report, this is like creating a PowerPoint style presentation for reporting and charting.

If we need to add a new Data Source we click on No Data and select a new data source from Group Properties, Data Source if we have none we can create a new data source from click new Data Source, this will show Google Connectors, here we have a huge range of sources for data and not just Google but those that Partner with Google as well, so we can have raw data from SQL to Adobe,Facebook or MailChimp.

We will just choose Google Analytics.

Then we choose our Google Property from our account. Click Connect to bring in the Data fields.
Here we will see Fields, Type, Aggregation, Description. We can change some of the settings to create a more user friendly view for the report, only do this if you are familiar with the Data Studio.

All the data will be displayed on the main page for the report and on the right side you will have the Chart Table and below that DATA and STYLES.

We can create multiple pages, so for example we may well have a summary page for page 1 and overview of what is happening, Then on the next pages we creat detailed specifics for the important areas we need to show, for example actual page impressions and duration and conversion with demogaphics, Page 2 mobile engagement, Page 3 ecommerce pages including cart pages to show conversion or bounce rates. Display Ad metrics could be on page 4 and so on, what ever is needed by your business to see how it is doing in all online campaigns.

In the Page edit we have the option on how to show the data under ADD a Chart where we will find all the common charting options, Tables, Scorecards, Time, Bars, Pie, Geo Maps, Lines, Area, Scatter, Pivot etc.
