My journey towards Digital Marketing started back in the 1990s. I worked in a small design studio producing advertising for local & national newspapers and magazines with the occasional international project thrown in for good measure. Back then it was D.T.P or Desk Top Publishing software, QuarkXpress and Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. Today we use Content Creation Software and produce advertising content for multiple digital media services.
Advertising has changed considerably. I used to work to fixed deadlines and missing the deadline meant the advert didn’t run, today adverts can be created and deployed in less than 5 minutes. Not only that but they can also be changed or targeted more precisely than ever before.
Speed has become the critical bonus tool for many campaigns today.
Recently Elon Musk showed his latest development the Tesla Truck, a live event in America to a select audience, but transmitted around the world in less than a few minutes. Live unedited marketing, by the end of the first day they had 250,000 pre-orders even with the faux pas in the demonstration.
The range of options for a Digital Media campaign is extensive, Websites, Pay Per Click Adverts, Social Media Networks, YouTube Videos and Live Streaming, just to name a few.
The future, how about Interactive Digital product placement in TV & Films, Virtual Reality or Smart Homes. The digital journey has only just started…

2016-17 Microsoft: A-B advertising with Smart technologies during the Christmas Period, Targeted sales of XBOX ONE WHITE, team member for third party marketing agency.
2016 Streaming: Evaluation of streaming services and competitor comparison conducted under NDA
2016 KM Group: consultant for digital sales taking traditional offline advertisers on to digital platforms.
2007 – 2015 Your Leisure: Re design, Hosting consolidation for optimisation and budget control of multiple Events and Leisure facilities. Taking the business from less than 20,000 users per month to over 300,000. Significant improvements to Brand, Image and Sales.
2012-2015 Powerwalker: Re Design Website, Optimise SEO, improve E-Commerce offering. Created Newsletters and Video Marketing. Increased sales from £3K per month to £12K per month.
2005 – 2012 Thanet Bus Company: successful relaunch of website and timetables, integration with Kent County Council GPS.
2010 Archery World Cup: Successful launch and management of global archery website for world cup, 64 national languages and a dozen editors.
2005 – 2015 EntaGroup ISP: Reseller for ISP services set up and managed 130+ businesses until sale.
2005 -2008 Transmanche Project: Thanet District Council, Thanet Chamber Commerce, Calais Council, Calais Chamber Commerce. Joint project for cross channel business. Was designed to run for one year but was successful and ran for 3 years.
